Ruth Slade owns AVA and for seventeen years has functioned as Executive Producer, Writer, Interviewer, and Creative Director on most productions. With education and experience in the fields of accounting and visual communications, Ruth brings to AVA a rare combination of creative and business acumen.

Richard Slade, our President and Technical Director, spent twenty-three impressive years editing film and video documentaries for NBC, as well as winning awards for his still photography. During that time, he also collaborated with his wife to form Audio Visual Artists' Productions, where he now functions as director and editor.

AVA hires the area's finest camera, audio and lighting people, as well as its most talented actors, narrators, makeup and graphic design artists to customize each project to the needs of our clients, and Richard and Ruth stay closely involved throughout all phases of production to assure a high degree of quality control, cost effectiveness, and client satisfaction.
